One of our favourite characters from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift will be returning as rapper Shad ‘Bow Wow’ Moss signs with Buchwald agency and readies himself to return in Fast 9.

According to Deadline, he’ll appear in the film which is set to be released this Summer, June 25th. Currently, the rapper is the executive producer on We TV’s Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta, which is in its fourth season as of now. He’s also signed onto a multi-year podcast with Fox as the host of The Masked Singer Podcast.
In Tokyo Drift, Bow Wow played Twinkie, a character full of energy and portrayed to be the go-to-guy for the latest tech, fashion, and car parts. He introduces the lead character Sean to the world of drifting, and while he knows his stuff, he doesn’t drift himself. Instead, he drives a 2005 Volkswagen Touran that’s been modified to look like the Hulk.
With Fast 9 reconnecting many of the lost characters from the original films, including Sean Boswell played by Lucas Black, we’re interested to see how Twinkie fits in with the rest of the Fast crew. Will he be brought in as a tech buy beside Chris “Ludacris” Bridges’ character Tej? However this may happen, I’m very excited for the film to hit cinemas later this year.
