Fast & Furious 9 Races Past $250 Million Worldwide Before Release in US and UK
Written by Alex Harrington

The ninth instalment of The Fast and the Furious has past $250 million worldwide before its release in major territories such as the UK and USA, Europe, and India, according to Variety.

China alone has brought in $203 million for the film, and it’s set to blow up when it’s finally released worldwide later this month thanks to a brilliant story by director Justin Lin and Daniel Casey.

Joining Justin Lin, who has already directed four other Fast films including Tokyo Drift, has been joined once again by Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto. Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron to name a few.

It certainly is an all-star cast, and with the trailers promising to expand on Dom Toretto’s currently unknown past, it’s no surprise that the film is eagerly awaited by fans.

I know that Sung Kang, owner of this website and co-presenter alongside myself on the Sung’s Garage Podcast, is incredibly grateful for how the film is being received. You’ll hear about his feelings more on an upcoming podcast, that I can’t say much more about, when it’s released on the 23rd of June.

Fast 9 will be released in cinemas June 24 in the UK and June 25 in the US.
