Sung Kang has paired up with Hagerty in the hopes of raising awareness for small businesses which are finding life very difficult right now in the middle of this pandemic. Behind the wheel of an Alfa Romro Montreal, he’s met up with local businesses to learn more about their fight against the quickly changing world.
Officially launching on November 13th, Hagerty’s Driving Gratitude initiative finds Sung, alongside a number of other big names, taking time to appreciate the small businesses that keep the country running. Here’s what Hagerty has to say:
“Follow us as we hit the road with Sung Kang, Patrick Long, Courtney Hansen, Luke and Melissa Ditella, Brendan Fallis, and McKeel Hagerty. We’re visiting small businesses across the nation to express our gratitude for the unsung heroes in our communities.
“Join us in giving thanks by posting a photo or logo of your favorite small business with the hashtag #HagertyDrivingGratitude, November 13 – December 4. For every #HagertyDrivingGratitude post, Hagerty will donate $25 (up to $25,000) to @score_mentors, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting small businesses.”
Make sure you head to Instagram to post the logo or a photo of a small business, and make sure you use the hashtag #HagertyDrivingGratitude because for each hashtag, Hagerty will donate $25 (up to $25,000) to the non-profit organisation SCORE, which helps small businesses thrive.
SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors who specialise in growing small businesses and helping them achieve their goals. It’s a non-profit which is able to thrive thanks to 10,000 selfless and amazing volunteers.
The gorgeous Montreal was lent to Sung thanks to Hagerty via Hagerty DriveShare, and has accompanied him on this journey. It’s a rare car, with only 3,900 being built since its debut at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, and while its got plenty of beauty, it also has the performance to match, with a 2.6-litre cross-plane V8 producing 197 horsepower, each of these taken to the rear wheels tvia a manual 5-speed gearbox. This engine loves to be thrashed and pushed hard.
And while you imagine how good a drive in this would be, keep in mind the small business that allow our love for cars, and everything else in life, to live on. Get on Instagram and show us your favourites using the hashtag #HagertyDrivingGratitude!
