New Fast & Furious 9 Trailer Shows The Team Actually Going To Space
Written by Alex Harrington

It’s been a few years since we were first teased about the Fast and Furious family going to space. It’s true, the Fast franchise has grown exponentially since its days of stealing DVD players from the back of a truck as we watch Dom Toretto and his team take out crime syndicates and hackers. Now, a second trailer has been released for Fast 9, and it might just be true that the team is heading for outer space as we’re treated to a clip of Roman Pearce and Tej Parker in a Pontiac Fiero, plus a trio of rockets.

A lot happens in the trailer, including learning a bit more about how Sung Kang’s character Han fits into the story. Han is now a gun-wielding professional and seems to be unstoppable behind the wheel of his orange Toyota GR Supra. But the Fiero is what really caught our eye.

It’s launched from a military cargo plane before Tej and Roman light up the rockets. We’ve seen the Fiero before in the previous trailer, but now the rockets are larger, and with the car’s occupants wearing DIY space suits, I think we’re going to be in for one hell of a ride, even if it is slightly unbelievable.

The release date of the film has been pushed back so many times I struggle to keep up, but it sounds as though Fast 9 is ready to be revealed in cinemas June 25 in the USA, and July 8 in the UK.
