Adding yet another car to his evergrowing collection, Sung Kang travelled to Utah recently to get his hands on G-Money, a 1976 Datsun 240Z. This brings the total up to three, alongside Fugu Z, the white Greddy 240 and Doc’, the red Safari 240Z.
He posted a number of videos and photos to his Instagram account documenting the memorable day.
G-Money is in incredible condition, sporting an Avacado Green paint job and an automatic gearbox which transfers power from its 2.4-litre inline 6 to the rear wheels. It looks mostly stock, if not entirely stock, and could very well be the first stock Datsun 240Z Sung has driven, minus of course the initial drive home of the car that eventually became a SEMA legend.
This particular car has had a small number of owners, with the last owners hanging onto the car for 40 years. It’s obviously been loved and cherished by them, and Sung will carry on this sentiment.
Sung said the following:
“Welcome to the family ‘G-Money’…73-240Z
Loved and preserved for in Valencia Ca. since 1976 by his loving owners. Last year they passed the car forward to Scott- a true JDM caretaker and collector. Thank you @sonny_utahna for a great day and taking such great care of ‘G-Money’.”
So what’s in store for G-Money? We’ll be sure to update you as plans for him start to unfurl, but until then, let us know what you’d love to see happen with this brilliant green Z. Comment your ideas down below, and we’ll be sure to get back to you.
