The Formula Drift Championship has just come to and end with Vaughn Gittin Jr taking the podium after an insane turn of events at the final round at Irwindale. Only Ryan Tuerck stood between Vaughn getting the win, but with him losing his battle against Jonathan Nerren, Vaughn was crowned the winner before the competitions that day even got into full swing.
Sung Kang was there to soak in the experience, with him staying close to Ken Gushi of KGMS Toyota Racing and his extremely potent Toyota GR Supra. He himself is a very successful drifter, with him learning at the hands of his father when he was only thirteen years old. Now, he competes at Pro level, with him taking down both Daijiro Yoshihara and Adam LZ on Sunday.
Sung got up close and personal with his white Supra over the weekend.
You can’t have a drift event without bottles upon bottles of nitrous…
And finally, check out this gorgeous Supra.
We need to get Gushi on Sung’s Garage with us some time soon, so if you have any questions you’d like us to ask, please let us know in the comments below and we’ll do our best to get him on the show!
