Our very own Sung Kang has just been revealed to be part of the cast for the upcoming Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi Series, but in a purely coincidental move, the actor has also just unveiled the car he’ll be driving in the next Fast and Furious film, Fast 9. As you can see from the post below, it ties the two film franchises together perfectly.
It turns out the characters from Fast and Furious did finally make it to space, and on their travels, brought back a speeder for their brother Han after finding it on Tatooine. It’s been painted with the all-too memorable colours of his Fortune Mazda RX-7 from Tokyo Drift, and its side-mounted Rotary boosters have been equipped with nitrous and turbocharged for even more horsepower. While it’s not quite as fast as the Millenium Falcon, it will certainly turn heads in the tenth instalment of the Fast franchise as Dom (Vin Diesel) and the team battle his long lost brother, played by John Cena.
How Han is still alive is currently unknown, even to the cast of the film, but rumours are blaming his immunity on a deep connection to the force.
Will two of the largest series of films finally overlap? Will Han pull out a lightsabre halfway through the film? We can’t be sure, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
The new car will officially be unveiled today, April 1st, sometime before 12pm PST.
