We were so excited to tell you guys that Sung Kang had bought a Buick Grand National a month or so ago, and now Sung has been out with the GN with other owners of the iconic American car on the mountain roads around LA.
The Grand National was always a bucket list car for Sung, with a turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 under the hood producing 245 horsepower and 355 lb.-ft. of torque. This is sent through an automatic gearbox to the rear wheels, which are able to propel the car to 60mph in 6, very respectable seconds. That may not be so fast in the sea of modern cars released these days, but back in the ’80s, this was a low number.
Sung’s car, named Buddy, was owned by a guy called Mike and his wife who drove the car off the dealer’s lot back in ’87. Unfortunately, Buddy hadn’t been on the road since 2005, but Sung was quick to change that.
Who’d love to take a drive out with Sung? Let us know what you’d drive in the comments below.
