Toyota Prepares 500 Horsepower Supra For 2020 SEMA Show
Written by Alex Harrington

Toyota is very proud of its Supra. So proud that it showed off the then-new model alongside a fancy Heritage Edition at the 2019 SEMA show. It packed a ridiculous 500 horsepower, alongside a number of other aftermarket performance parts, but this year the Japanese marque is going one step further.

2020 will bring us another Heritage Edition Supra, but just like Paul Walker’s A80 Supra from the first Fast and Furious film, it will sport a targa roof. The roof will be able to be taken apart into two pieces and stored in the boot. And there won’t be any T-Bar to retain stiffness, this will occur in other places around the chassis.

Dubbed the GR Supra Sport Top, it will get the existing upgrades of last year’s Heritage Edition, plus the targa roof, high performance Brembo brakes, and adjustable coilover suspension.

Right now there’s only one in the world, but we’d love this to be an option for future Supras. Please, Toyota, make it so?
