Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel has teased the next film of the Fast Franchise with a recent social media post while admitting that emotions are “strong” as they begin the penultimate chapter.
It’s been two minutes since Fast 9 was released to cinemas, but now the team are revving up to bring us the tenth part of the saga, which will begin filming in January. Vin Diesel, who plays the muscle car-loving character in the films shared a post to Instagram showing his son with the letters “FX” shaved into his head.
Vin posted the following caption alongside the image:
“That excitement is real… the emotions strong. Haha. Hope, somehow perseveres in this multi generational saga. 10… the final chapter. A divine number, 10 means a return to unity, the fusion between being and non-being. The number 10 denotes the completion of a cycle.
“So proud of Universal, the incredible team of talent we are blessed to have on this journey. Grateful for it all and most importantly for all of you.”
Vin Diesel’s post on Instagram came only a couple of days after it was confirmed that Fast 9 has been the highest-grossing movie since the pandemic began, bringing in a ridiculous $700 million globally at the box office. Fast and Furious 10 will hopefully continue this trend as it begins a two-part ending to the saga.
Justin Lin will return to direct, and we’re likely to see our favourite characters again too as Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and Nathalie Emmanuel are all looking to return.
